Among the most accomplished professionals in our society are those who treat us when we're ill. But what you may not realize about the very best physicians in Wisconsin is that many of them found success only after experiencing utter failure, sometimes repeated failures. But they all found ways to get over that brick wall. The lessons these extraordinary White Coat Wisdom physicians learned on their journey are equally valid for any of us who aspire to find excellence.
In his Wisconsin Book Festival presentation, medical journalist and author, Steve Busalacchi, will discuss lessons from medicine and how they apply to all of us. The presentation will include brief audio segments from the original interviews, which formed the book's manuscript.
Busalacchi is an award-winning, former Wisconsin Public Radio medical reporter, as well as an Honorary Fellow at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health.
Former US Surgeon General, C. Everett Koop, MD, endorsed White Coat Wisdom "as a good read for anyone," while StoryCorps Founder, Dave Isay, calls the book a "compelling, enlightening and skilful work of oral history."

Terry and I went to Steve's session Friday night. He was GREAT. Not only told stories perfectly, but his overall presentation was an example of all the things the WCH says to do!
