Ramblings from Hawaii - Day 5 (Hui Up!)

We all look pretty much dry ... The reason: it had been a few hours (and Alan's shoes are probably still wet)! We can add this story to the previous list of things to talk about.

Stay Island, Stay Eazy!

A hui is a gathering of people that come together to do something: build a garden, clean an ocean beach, distribute food at a pantry, plant trees, build community... We love this concept; it is everything we talk about at WCH, CPPW and in public health. If we want to get things done, we come together - common ground - and do the work!

Today was Community Work Day, which involved hundreds of Microsoft employees unleashing their "platinum" teamwork on the community gardens at KAMIII elementary school. The project (and our storyteller Rebecca) were featured on the front page of the Maui Times!

Mahalo!
