Writing Posts for the Prevention Speaks Blog

Last week I pictured myself diving gracefully in to my new responsibilities at WCH by sending out a schedule for writing posts for the Prevention Speaks blog, but somehow the image of me doing a running cannonball into a pool keeps popping up instead.

I think everyone is happy to cooperate with getting the PS blog rolling but wondering what, as they gamely bob around in the waves, they're supposed to write about.

There has been lots of thoughtful discussion about this. My vision is for the posts to tell more about getting and sharing the stories we feature, though I don't know much about that at this point. It will be super-useful to have blog posts with updates of how a community used a story--we'll want to link back to a post like that on the page that particular story is featured on.

Kyle added a good idea for guidance in writing a post: make it useful to the reader. Include a tip for replicating the success in the post--or avoiding what we've found does not work.

Thanks for helping me invent this as we go.
