Four Timezones

Q. What do you get when you combine a comedian, three web developers, a project manager/juggler, and a health policy wonk?

A. We hope you'll get TransformWI.com by April 16th!

The TransformWI.com web team (sans designers) met tonight via Google Hangout to complete a Project Charter and launch the development calendar. If you've never used a "Hangout" before, it allows up to 8 video chats and live editing of Google Docs (which then save seamlessly in your Google Docs file cabinet). In addition to hangouts for meetings, we'll be working in Basecamp for project management.

This is my first time working on a team made up of so many short-term freelancers, so we'll be learning a lot about remote collaboration and how to build the project so it can be passed on once these freelancers max their contracts... first lesson learned is you need to be very flexible for after hours meetings!

Recap of the TransformWI.com web team (in case you hear their names):
  • Chris Franson - Project management, overall development
  • Kyle Pfister - Project vision, content liason, overall design
  • Adam Fairholm - Web development
  • Jerel Unruh - Web development
  • Lance Johnson - Web development
  • Chris Lay - Social media
  • Mike Williams - Graphic designer
  • Conor Grebel - Motion graphics / animator
  • Jeremy Nealis - Audio designer
