The Role of Health in Sustainable Development

This second WHO/IFMSA/Health Canada webinar seminar, will outline how the thinking about health and development has evolved since the first Rio conference to greater awareness of the linkages between health environment. This includes the health co-benefits of certain climate change strategies, how health behavior can be influenced by the environment, as well as the importance of social determinants of health and access to health coverage, as the defining factors influencing the rates of non-communicable diseases and diseases of poverty.   

The webinar will last 90 minutes with opportunities to ask questions of the panel.
