A group of WCHers led by Julie Swanson made great progress today on improving our WCH budget template. Our goal is to design a monthly budget that is easy and clear for staff to understand and use. We also seek to decide how budget decisions are made and by who for each project . If we achieve this clear budgeting system, we'll improve our ability to plan forward to define scope and expectations for our projects, monitor our spending progress regularly, and make agile and informed decisions when recalibration is needed. All in all, we'll work better.
The group will be piloting a budget template with Transform Wisconsin over the next month and will meet again in late June to follow-up.
