Below are 5 lessons learned today about the corporate card (in case they're helpful for you). The online banking options seem less than ideal.
1) Our online portal is https://access.usbank.com
2) Our "Organization Short Name" is stwisc. You need to setup your own online account username and password name.
3) You can't see the online portal until you have a payment due. "My Wallet" in our UW expense report syncs automatically to pay for approved business expenses.
4) Online payments take at least 3 days to "process" (what?), more if holidays, so pay well before the due date. Telephone payments are instant.
5) There are no email notifications allowed, so you'll receive a paper statement and a paper notice of the due date.
So Kyle, did you actually USE your card or just doing research to come up with all of this? Aren't you just so lucky????
ReplyDelete@Nancy Just doing my research before using it for the first time, to make sure it's not just going to over-complicate things. I've managed to stay paperless with all my bills, don't want to start now!
ReplyDeleteKyle, Thanks for posting! :) I am sure it will help people in the future.
ReplyDeleteKyle, I didn't realize one could bake online ;)

ReplyDelete@Natalie I love online baking.
ReplyDelete@Kyle - You CAN pay online. After you set up your online account (steps #1 & 2), go to "Personal Information" in the menu on the left, and follow the "Email Notification" link under "Contact Information." Once they email your statement, you can enroll for online payment, view pending transactions, etc.
ReplyDeleteKeep the baking IRL.
