Today Scientific American published an article on obesity: increasing rates, research trends and findings - nothing we don't already know! But, if you read down down down, the article has an emphasis on geography and mapping as a way of addressing this epidemic. And I know i've said this again and again, but place MATTERS. For example: kids in rural communities get most of their physical activity in schools, whereas kids in urban settings get most of their physical activity commuting from place to place...
