Today was our second MAP JAM. These jams are collaboratively hosted to highlight all the awesome mapping work WCHers are doing and to grow a community of practice that builds our skills.
The topic of the month was fusion tables. Rob presented how Transform WI used fusion tables to track statewide outreach and communicate our huge reach. He walked us through creating our own tables (above is my retreat in Mud Lake!) and he shared a tutorial that is archived it for anyone's use here: http://bit.ly/MtYn5r.
Next month's topic is participatory mapping. If you'd like to participate, Suzanne assigned us homework to take two photos over the next week: your favorite healthy and unhealthy lunch in our WCH neighborhood... and we'll map our lunch options! Get in touch if you're interested and didn't receive the invite.
Jam on.
