1) If you have an Android smart phone, you can use Android Lost
This will allow you to lock the phone, wipe the data, or even make it sound so it's easier to find if misplaced.

2) For Iphone users, Apple offers an official app, Find My iPhone:

Of course, if you have the capability to find your phone using these tools, somebody ELSE (Big Brother) has the capability of finding YOU if you have your phone with you! CONSPIRACY THEORISTS UNITE! :-)
