ProofWorks:
ProofWorks helps health communicators build evaluation plans for short- and long-lead communication activities based on the most current evaluation theories, strategies, and tactics.
Evaluation is not scary. It requires us to ask up front what are our resources, time,
skill, and knowledge at hand in order to understand the impact of our programs/projects and initiatives. This program is designed to be user friendly to help
come up with evaluation approaches:
1. Planning: planning and evaluation are connected. What are
the best questions to be asking
2.
Evaluation: situation specific – your
evaluation depends on understanding systems
3.
Systematic: think through evaluation options
– narrowed down to what makes sense for your program
Create an Evaluation Plan:
1.
Audience – thinking about initiative and enter
key information of key people we want to reach (age, gender, leaders, orgs,
settings, society)
2.
Program or intervention – describe the program,
project or initiative – including duration, and stage of development and cost
of intervention
3.
Evaluation questions – ask questions about the
effort to identify exactly what we want to learn and rank as not important to
very important (to stakeholders). Couplets of questions work together.
4.
Methods & rigor – Want to know methods that
are appropriate and level of rigor based on frequency of data collection. Level of engagement is an example…
5.
Resources – support needed to carry out
evaluation plan. Money/funding and staffing.
6.
Focus
7.
Indicators and methods
8.
